How does 5x work on stars to buy binoculars question..

[9/11, 14:31] Dr. Harish Ravi: At the astrophysics club I would have seen high resolution telescopes.. but anyway I was unable to buy a second Binoculars.. my main question was if you zoom into star or move 5x length of Binoculars how can star change in constalletions
