Hard cover vs paperback s story

In Caltech first year I couldn't buy 10$ paper cover books for self help and novels as I saw in India that every country paper back is sold in that country..


Somehow in usa I thought the paperback s were not even there in Amazon.. and 120$ hardcover only..
