Climate change will artics melt

Climate change question 1.2 deg cel exponential since 1880. Will it melt arctics at -20 deg C by 2100 by which we will phase to renewables. Need another point.
According to RCP fit climate change will be 5 deg C by 2100. Since ice caps are at -28 deg C they won't melt before we shift to renewables. But they are already melting why? What's the stratification of ice temperature.
